I was born in Florida, mainly growing up in Burlington, NC, until my senior year in high school when my dad’s job transferred us to Raleigh, NC. After graduating, I met my husband and we have been married for 30 years. We share two wonderful sons.
During my career path, I took classes in Business Management at a Community College in Smithfield, NC. Raising two small sons’ during this time made it very difficult to continue with classes. I was very lucky, given hands-on experience and training in the healthcare field as a Unit Secretary and Office Management positions. I served as a point of contact for the nursing units and coordinated patient services. I have always been passionate about helping people and have always worked in positions where I got this opportunity daily. In 2017 my father-in-law fell ill, and I was called upon to become his caretaker. I spent 24/7 with him and loved every second of it. I was able to provide him with the best care, love, and compassion for the last 2 months of his life. This experience changed my life forever and deeper respect for my elders.
I like making people smile and doing little things to make a person’s day better. I find helping others to be very rewarding and at the end of the day, it gives me a sense of pride knowing that I have made a difference in someone’s life. I feel very blessed to be a part of Helayne Levy’s team at Elder Law Life Care Planning Center. My passion in life has been and will always be helping others. During my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family, and my little dog Abby.
